Rockcliffe Park is known for its large, historic homes, embassies, old-growth trees, and scenic streets. The neighbourhood is known for private schools, wealthy families, and prestigious history. It is the only neighbourhood in Ontario that is entirely a Heritage Conservation District.

    • Rockcliffe Park Public School - public elementary with English and early French immersion. JK-6.

    • St. Brigid School - Catholic Elementary. Bilingual, French immersion, and extended French from JK-6.

    • Le Trillium - French-language public primary school JK-6.

    Public Secondary Schools:

    • École secondaire publique de La Salle - French public high school.

    • Immaculata High School - English Catholic school, offers bilingual.

    • Lisgar Collegiate Institute - English public high school, some French immersion subjects.

  • Rockcliffe Park is a community-first neighbourhood with plenty of activities and services available for residents.

    The RRPA organizes events like book sales, spring cleaning, movie nights, tree lightings, holiday parties, and more.

    Clubs and programs in the neighbourhood include soccer, tennis, a library club, and more!

    There is a community hall and library, recreational programs at the community centre, a skating rink, dog parks, and a neighbourhood watch.

  • Rockcliffe Park is very pet friendly, with safe residential streets and plenty of outdoors space. Dogs must be on leash in most parks, but can be off leash at the Rockcliffe Park Dog Park.

    In the neighbourhood, there is only a Pet Valu for shopping. Head into Centretown for vets, more pet stores, and groomers.

  • Rockcliffe Park is incredibly kid-friendly, with amazing schools, a safe community, tons of outdoor space, and plenty of public programs, libraries, and clubs to keep kids entertained and learning.

  • Rockcliffe Park does not feature many shopping options, but is very close to the Byward Market and Centretown which feature plenty of options.

  • Rockcliffe Park was founded in 1864 and carries a rich history. The motto on the village coat-of-arms is “Inter Arboribus Floremus” - amidst the trees we flourish.

    The entire village is a Heritage Conservation District. Heritage conservation district plans have been required for all heritage conservation districts in the province since 2005.

    Rockcliffe Park features many landmarks including the Rockeries, Carnegie Library Columns, the Statue of Queen Elizabeth II, and many historic homes.

  • There are no grocery stores immediately in Rockclifee Park, but there are many along the border of Rockcliffe and Vanier.
