Welcome to the Golden Triangle, in the heart of downtown Ottawa.

The Golden Triangle is a small section of downtown Ottawa nestled in a bend of the Rideau Canal, opposite to the University of Ottawa.

This small section of town is filled with life, plenty of students, as well as single-family homes.

  • Golden Triangle is a very small area and doesn’t have a fully developed culture in comparison to other neighbourhoods.

    As a general rule, the Golden Triangle hosts an older population and students, as well as a few families.

    The Golden Triangle ends along Elgin street, meaning it has quick access to plenty of shopping, restaurants, and bars that are of appeal to the younger population.

  • The total population for the Golden Triangle is around 6000 people.

    There are plenty of large single-family homes in the area, but many have now been split into apartments. There are also some condominiums and apartment buildings.

  • Golden Triangle is conveniently located near both the Byward Market and Centretown, leaving hundreds of options for restaurants, bars, and night clubs.

    Walking in literally any direction will warrant a great night out, but the actual Golden Triangle does not have any outings except for along the furthest border (Elgin Street).

  • Just like nightlife, all dining in the Golden Triangle can be found along the border - Elgin Street. Otherwise, you can walk into Centretown and visit Bank Street, or take a trip to the Byward Market for even more options!
