What’s happening in Ottawa this week? March 27-April 3
Welcome back to another addition of What’s Happening in Ottawa this week! This week is absolutely packed with events - so let’s get right into it!
To start, there are a TON of maple events happening across Ottawa this week. Most started earlier in February and are running until the end of this week or a bit further into April.
Fulton’s Maple Season
Open until April 18th
No reservations necessary
Trails and Maple Shop open 10am-3pm daily
Sleigh Rides are available 11am-3pm on weekends and the 4 days of Easter weekend. 4$ a person.
Maple Fest
At Proulx Farm, running until April 18th
Pancake House and outdoor activities are open every day 9-5
Tickets are available and walk-ins are first come first serve
Sugar Festival
Vanier Museopark, until April 3
Ontario Maple Weekend (April 2-3)
All across Ontario, maple festivals are taking place! If you are out of the city this weekend, take a look at your local area for more information! Ontariomaple.com has all locations and information.
Sugar Bush at Log Farm
Tickets are nearly sold out for this festival on the weekend of April 3!
Take wagon rides and see how maple syrup is made, purchase sweet treats, and gather sap yourself! There is also a farm full of animals!
On April 1st:
The National Ballet is putting on Christopher Wheeldon’s “After the Rain” - this is a one night only presentation at Southam Hall (1 Elgin St).
On April 2nd:
Renee Landry & The Cool will be at Irene’s to put on a tribute to Amy Winehouse. They will be playing the full Back to Black album.
From April 1-3:
Check out the Crave Food and Wine Festival, presented by Richcraft at the Shaw Centre. Entrance is 20-30$ and you must be 21 to attend. Taste your way through delicious drinks and food!
From April 2-3:
Ottawa’s Wedding Show at the EY Centre. Tickets are 15$ and anyone under 17 is welcome to attend for free!
April 3:
The Ottawa Senators will be playing on April 3 against the Detroit Red Wings at the Canadian Tire Centre.
