What’s happening in Ottawa this week? March 13-19

This week is packed with activities! Let’s get into some of the top events in Ottawa for the week of March 13th to 19th.

March 9-20th

From the 9th to the 20th in Ottawa, you can visit the International Film Festival of Ottawa (IFFO). There are 27 films to be seen in person! In 2021, this film festival was completely online, and they are so excited to offer the experience in real cinemas again! You can out the full festival here: https://www.iffo.ca/2022/schedule

March 14

On Monday, March 14th in Ottawa we’ll see both the Senator’s and the 67’s play. The Senators will be playing against the Arizona Coyotes at the Canadian Tire Centre at 7pm. The 67’s will be playing against the Niagara Ice Dogs at 2pm at TD Place.

March 14

March 14th is also Ottawa’s make-up “Second Valentine’s Day” as so much of the city was shut down during real Valentine’s Day on February 14th. There are tons of offers at local hotels, restaurants, spas, as well as at some local stores!

March 14-16

From the 14th to the 16th Cats the Musical is playing at the National Art Centre. This musical follows the lives of a ‘tribe of cats’ as they prepare for their annual ball! Written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, this world-renowned musical is sure to entertain! 

March 14-20

From the 14th to the 20th in Ottawa you are able to take free horse-drawn carriage rides throughout the Byward Market. Rides leave every half hour and tickets are first come, first serve. 

March 17

March 17th is Saint Patrick’s Day - and the city is fully open again! Check out some of the pubs downtown to really get into the spirit!

March 19

On the 19th, make sure to check out 613Flea at Lansdowne’s Aberdeen Pavilion. This event is totally free and brings in over 100 local vendors who offer tons of handmade, vintage, and local products. From food to art to clothes to music - there is something for everyone! This event only happens every month - so be sure not to miss it!
