What’s happening in Ottawa? May 9-15
Welcome back to New Purveyor’s What’s Happening in Ottawa! There are some really cool events on this week that you definitely don’t want to miss.
May 4-13
Starting this week and heading into next is the Latin American Film Festival. This festival was founded by the Canadian Film Institute and is the largest ongoing celebration of the cinemas of Latin America in all of Canada! You can see a number of films up until the 13th at the Alma Duncan Salon at the Ottawa Art Gallery.
May 7
The Interzip - Canada’s only interprovincial zipline, has opened again for the season! Make sure to stop by to zip across the Ottawa river, and take home a video of the experience!
May 9
Avril Lavigne is playing at TD Place with All Time Low! Enjoy a blast from the past with family or friends. Resale tickets are still available!

“Intro to Women in Woodworking: Making a Planter Stand” is a 3 hour workshop led by women to introduce you into the basics of measuring, cutting, and finishing wood! You’ll get to try things like the mitre saw, drill press, sander and more. The event is held at the Ottawa Tool Library from 530-830pm.
