What’s Happening in Ottawa? April 4-10th

Spring is in the air in Ottawa, and there is plenty to do outdoors this week to enjoy the warmer weather!

Start your Easter celebrations early (if you celebrate), visit a sugar bush, go for a hike, attend a comedy show, or check out the Women’s Show with your friends!

Catch the Ottawa 67s vs Hamilton Bulldogs at TD Place Arena.

Check out the Irish Film Festival at the Arts Court Theatre and online.

Check out documentaries and full films created by and about Irish people and culture. The festival is hybrid, with both in-person and online events available.

Comedy and Magic Show at Pour Boy Pub (495 Somerset St W) 

For only $10, check out some up-and-coming Toronto comedians - and end the night with Kensington Ken’s magical illusions.

The National Women’s Show is taking place at the Shaw Centre - and is being called “the ultimate girls day out!”

This event hosts shopping, food, wine, tips on healthy living, mini makeovers, travel ideas, and more.

Go complete an Easter Egg Hunt at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm for “kids ages 1-99.”

Stop by Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm with the whole family to hunt for Easter eggs, take a tractor ride, and then stop by the farm animals on your way out!

Full Week

Check out three different sugar bushes and pancake houses to celebrate the maple syrup season! This will be one of your last weeks/weekends to visit before they close for the season.

  • Sugarbush at Olde Maple Lane 

Enjoy a bunch of sugary maple sweets and learn how maple syrup is tapped and then made at Stanley’s Olde Maple Lane Farm! There are 2km worth of trails to explore as well. 

  • Proulx Maple & Berry Farm’s Maple Fest

Relax and unwind outdoors with 4 different looped walking trails, as well as fire pits, a maze, playgrounds, and a petting zoo for the whole family!

  • Fulton’s Pancake House and Sugar Bush

Enjoy pancakes at the pancake house, and see trees being tapped and syrup being made in Lanark County! With over 400 acres of sugarbush, there is plenty to see and do in Ottawa’s amazing countryside.
